The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint
Case No. 168 of 2019.
The marriage of the complainant was solemnized with Himanshu Verma on 5.3.2017. It has been alleged that there was a demand of Rs.5,00,000/- and on non fulfillment of which she was subjected to torture. Ultimately she was ousted from her matrimonial house.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the mother in law of the complainant who is aged about 60 years. It has further been submitted that the specific allegation pertains to the petitioner.
It appears from the averments made in the complaint petition that it was the petitioner who had poured hot water upon the complainant. It further appears that she used to sleep in the room of her son in order to prevent consummation of matrimonial life. The nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner therefore do not implore this Court to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
This application accordingly stands rejected.
