Heard Mr. Pankaj Verma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Dhanwar P.S. Case No. 150 of 2018, corresponding to G.R. No. 1219 of 2018.
The marriage of the sister of the informant was solemnized with the petitioner on 05.03.2017. It has been alleged that on 02.05.2018 the informant was intimated that his sister was missing. On the next day the dead body of his sister was found lying in a ditch. It has been alleged that the deceased used to speak about the demand of dowry made by the in-laws. The cause of death appears to be asphyxia due to drowning. The petitioner appears to be the husband of the deceased and the death had occurred within seven years of marriage in an unnatural circumstance.
Regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected.
