Prosecution.
The petitioner has been made accused for the offence under Sections 302 / 34 of the Indian Penal Code, in connection with Rajnagar P.S. Case No. 16 of 2015 corresponding to G.R. No. 242 of 2015, S.T. No. 75 of 2015.
The petitioner is the husband of the deceased and there is allegation against him to have subjected his wife to cruelty and torture and to have married another lady. It is alleged that the petitioner committed murder of his wife.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case and has prayed for bail.
Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer and has pointed out from the case diary that the dead body of the deceased was found in the house of the petitioner itself, with ligature mark on the neck and the cause of death was found to be strangulation.
In the facts of this case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner, Pintu Soy, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.
