4/16.1.2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sikidiri Case No.15 of 2013 corresponding to G.R No.1406 of 2013, S.T No.608 of 2013, for the offence under Sections 306 and 376 (D) of the Indian Penal Code.
There is direct allegation against the petitioner to have committed gang rape upon the informant, due to which, she committed suicide by burning.
The F.I.R was lodged on the basis of the fardbeyan of the deceased herself, while she was injured and undergoing treatment and subsequently, she died.
Earlier, the bail application of this petitioner was rejected on merits by order dated 19.12.2013 in B.A No.10422 of 2013.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has renewed the prayer for bail, submitting that the family members of the deceased have not supported the prosecution case.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner, Preet Ranjan Prasad on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
