Heard Mr. Suraj Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Krishna Shankar, learned APP appearing for the State.
Petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. No. 216 of 2015 arising out of Ratu P.S. Case 10 of 2015 corresponding to G.R. No. 369 of 2015 registered for the offences punishable u/s 366, 354, 509 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of learned A.J.C., Ranchi.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has falsely been implicated in the present case on account of village politics and that the petitioner is in custody since 16.1.2015.
Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and referring to the case diary submitted that several witnesses have deposed that they have seen the informant jumping from an auto. It has also been submitted that the informant sustained injury on the head.
Regard being had to the specific nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
