By this petition, the petitioners herein are seeking a direction upon respondent no. 2 to make reference of the final award no. Coll/LA/ACR/Reasi/159-161 dated 03.09.2012, to the District Judge,

Reasi for determination of just compensation in terms of Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, with respect to the land owned by the petitioners falling under khasra no. 743, situated at village Kundrorian Tehsil Katra District Reasi, inherited from their predecessors, namely, Chuni Lal at par with the similarly situated land holders. Petitioners are also seeking a direction upon respondents to consider the application of the petitioners for making reference to the District Judge, Reasi qua the land owned by them.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has placed on record order passed by this Court in WP (C) No. 2928/2025 titled < Krishan Singh and Others vs. UT of J & K and Others =. He has stated that the award has already been passed and reference under Section 18 is pending before the Principal District Judge, Reasi. He further states that he has filed representation on 02.08.2024, but the same has not been considered by the Collector till date. He has relied upon an order passed by this Court dated 18.10.2025, wherein the petition has been disposed of with a direction to the Collector to decide the representations within a reasonable period of time. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners would feel satisfied, if the instant petition is disposed of with a similar relief.
