complainant (victim-prosecutrix), who alleged that in the year, 2017, she came in contact of the petitioner through Facebook and since then, they had been talking to each other frequently. She alleged that during this period, petitioner developed physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage. She alleged that in the year, 2022, when she asked the petitioner to solemnize marriage with her, he straightaway refused. She alleged that even family members of the petitioner refused to solemnize marriage with petitioner and as such, appropriate action in accordance with law be taken against them. Pursuant to aforesaid complaint, FIR sought to be quashed in the instant proceedings came to be instituted against the petitioner under Section 376 IPC. Though after completion of investigation, police presented challan in the competent court of law, but before same could be taken to its logical end, victim-prosecutrix and petitioner solemnized marriage and as such, petitioner has approached this Court in the instant proceedings for quashing of FIR as well as consequent proceedings, if any, pending in the competent court of law.
