By order dated 17.01.2023 passed in WP(C) No. 5028/2021, this Court directed the respondent/appellate authority to verify the claim of the petitioner and in the event, it is found that the services are required to be provincialised, the same shall be done in terms of the Assam Education (Provincialisation of Services of Teachers and Re-organization of Educational Institutions) Act, 2017 and the arrears of salary be paid.

Pursuant to this aforesaid order, a speaking order has been passed by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education on 21.11.2025, whereby the claim of the petitioner namely, Afruza Khatun, for provincialisation has been rejected.

In view of the aforesaid, the order dated 17.01.2023 passed in WP(C) No. 5028/2021, stands complied with.

A copy of the order dated 21.11.2025 passed by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, is kept on record.

¶24

It is needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to assail such order dated 21.11.2025 passed by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, before the appropriate forum.

Accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed.
