Heard Mr. N. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 27.07.2022 passed by this Court
in WP(C) No.6519/2018 whereby a direction was issued to place the case of the
petitioner before the State Level Committee (SLC), this contempt petition has been filed.

On instruction obtained from the concerned official, viz., Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Estt-B Branch (Confidential Cell) PWRD, Dispur, vide communication dated 04.04.2023, Mr. A. Das, learned counsel appearing for the sole respondent submits that the case of the petitioner could not be placed earlier before the SLC due to unforeseen circumstances but it will be done in the next SLC. The instruction dated 04.04.2023 also indicates that the petitioner’s case would be placed before the next meeting of the SLC. In view of the above, by retaining a copy of the written instruction dated 04.04.2023 in the record of this case, this Contempt Case stands closed. The petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court once again as and when a proper cause of arises.
