Heard Shri A. Mobaraque, learned counsel for the petitioner, who by means of this petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. has prayed for quashing of a Charge Sheet No. 101/2018 dated 30.04.2018 under Section 366(A)/376 (i) R/w Section 4 of POCSO Act arising out of Sipajhar P.S. Case No. 930/2017 under Section 366 (A) IPC (GR Case No. 3843/2017).

Also heard Shri D. Das, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State respondent and Shri A. Ali, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 & 3.

Though the prayer was of quashing, Shri Mobaraque, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the meantime, the evidence stage is already over. He therefore, submits that he would modify his prayer for a direction for expeditious disposal of the trial.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is closed by directing the learned Special Judge, Darrang, Mangaldai to take expeditious steps for disposal of the case since the evidence stage is already over.

The Crl. Petition accordingly stands disposed of.
