Heard Shri GJ Sharma, learned counsel for the applicant, who by means of this

application has sought for impleadment of the present incumbent holding the post of Director, Social Welfare as party respondent in the contempt petition No. 45/2020.
It is the case of the applicant that during the pendency of the present case, the earlier incumbent holding the said post had retired on attaining the age of superannuation and the new incumbent has joined. Attention of this Court has also been drawn to the representation dated 27.05.2022 to the new incumbent which was also received.
Considering the above, this Court is of the view that the present incumbent is required to be impleaded as party respondent.
Accordingly, Shri Bivash Modi, Director, Social Welfare, Assam be impleaded as respondent no. 2 in the contempt petition.
The IA accordingly stands closed.
