Ms. G. Bora, learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 25.11.2020, the departmental counsel was called upon to obtain instructions. However, in the meantime, the respondents have allowed the petitioner to open his shop and, therefore, the grievance of her client has been redressed in this case.
Mr. P.N. Goswami, learned standing counsel, Excise Department, Assam and Mrs. D.D. Barman, learned Government Advocate, Assam submits that since the petitioner’s shop has been unconditionally allowed to open, no further issue for decision survives in this writ petition at this point of time.
Taking note of the submission of learned counsel appearing for both parties, this writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous.
