Heard Mr. T.J. Mahanta, learned senior counsel for the applicant as well as Ms. R.B. Bora, learned counsel representing respondent nos.3. Mr. P. Nayak, learned counsel appears for respondent no.6.
This is an application seeking impleadment of the present incumbents holding the post of (i) Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Environment and Forest Department, Assam and (ii) Commissioner to the Government of Assam, Environment and Forest Department, Assam, as party respondents in the case.
Having regard to the statements and averments made in the Interlocutory Application, this Court is of the view that the present incumbents holding the posts, as indicated above, requires to be impleaded as party respondents in the present contempt petition. Accordingly, the present Interlocutory Application stands allowed and the names of the incumbents shown at paragraph 6 of the Interlocutory Application are impleaded as party respondent nos.7 and 8 in the contempt petition.
Interlocutory Application stands accordingly disposed of.
