Transfer Petition (Civil) - Abhijeet Anand v. Mahabir Parsad, TR.P.(C.) 131/2024 (Delhi High Court, Amit Sharma, J., 13.02.2026): The file of a case pending before Commercial Court-09, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts (DJ Misc. No.699/2023) had been routed to the Registrar General pursuant to the District Judge's order dated 19.07.2024 seeking transfer to another Commercial Court of competent jurisdiction, because connected matters CS (Comm) 4825/2021 and Ex.196/2024 were already directed to be placed before the High Court and in view of Namita Gupta v. Suraj Holdings Limited, CM(M) No. 457/2023 (decided 09.01.2024), noted therein as holding that the general power of transfer of suits under Section 24 CPC vested with the High Court applies to commercial suits as well. As the Presiding District Judge who had recused himself has since been promoted and transferred as Principal Judge, Family Court, and no longer holds Commercial Court-09, the Court sent the case file back to that court for further proceedings in accordance with law; no further orders were called for.

No.699/2023, before the Worthy Registrar General of this Court with a request to transfer the present case to some other Commercial Court of the competent jurisdiction as connected matters/suit, CS (Comm) 4825/2021 and Ex.196/2024, have already been directed to placed before this Court and in view of the judgment dated 09.01.2024 rendered in '''Namita Gupta Vs. Suraj Holdings Limited'' in case CM(M) No. 457/2023, whereby it was held that the general power of transfer of suit under Section 24 of the CPC vested with the High Court would be applicable in commercial suits as well, the aforesaid suit was placed before
