The present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 19.12.2023. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal expired on 17.12.2025, and therefore, the present petition has been filed for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is stated that final arguments are going on before the Arbitral Tribunal.

In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to regularize the period from 17.12.2025 till today and extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 30.06.2026, so that the award can be pronounced.
