By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ( BNSS ), the petitioners seek issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide and pass a reasoned, speaking order on the request/proposal for approval/sanction under Section 17A(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (bearing Ref Nos. F.No. 17A/30/DOV/2025 and 17A/31/DOV/2025) concerning the alleged delinquent public servants within a time bound period.

Learned ASC accepts notice. He, at the outset, fairly submits that earnest endeavour shall be made to decide pending request/ proposal made to the respondent no. 2 on or before 31.10.2026. Further, the petitioners shall/ may also be called for a hearing if as and when required.

Considering the same, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that he has no objection if the present petition is disposed in the aforesaid terms.
