The present petition has been filed under Section 528 BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.608/2025 under Sections 115(2)/126(2)/3(5) BNS registered at Police Station Narela and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the ground that the parties have arrived at a settlement.

Issue notice. Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice.

The petitioner nos.1 and 2 are present in Court whereas the respondent no. 2 has joined through VC. They have been identified by their respective counsels, as well as, by the Investigating Officer SI Mahender Patel, PS. Narela.

The case as set out in the present petition is that some scuffle had taken place between the parties in which the respondent no.2 suffered simple injury. The dispute between the parties also led to the registration of present FIR.

settlement, terms whereof were reduced in writing in the form of Settlement Deed dated 12.10.2025 which is annexed as Annexure P-2 to the present petition.

It is a term of the settlement that the parties with the intervention of family and friends have resolved all their disputes amicably without any coercion, pressure or monetary consideration.

It is also a term of the settlement that the respondent no.2 will cooperate with the petitioners for the quashing of the present FIR. 8. The respondent no.2, on a query posed by the Court, states that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

In view of the fact that the parties have arrived at a settlement, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them.

It is, thus, in the interest of justice that the present FIR and all the other proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed.

Consequently, the petition is allowed and the FIR No.608/2025 under Sections 115(2)/126(2)/3(5) BNS registered at Police Station Narela alongwith all other proceedings emanating therefrom, is quashed.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
