Delhi High Court (Amit Mahajan, J.), W.P.(CRL) 1177/2025 — Ashok Ranga v. State of Delhi and Anr. (order dated 15.04.2025): Petitioner, a 58-year-old man claiming false implication by a co-worker, complained that an FIR registered way back on 23.08.2021 (PS IGI Airport) had still not been investigated and that the chargesheet remained unfiled even though an earlier petition of his had been disposed of by order dated 10.05.2024 on the Standing Counsel's submission that the chargesheet would be filed within a week. The learned Additional Standing Counsel submitted that there had been a lapse on the part of the Investigating Officer, and assured that the chargesheet would be filed within two weeks and that senior officers would be sensitized. The present petition is filed being essentially aggrieved that the FIR which was registered way back on 23.08.2021 has still not been investigated.

The petitioner, on an earlier occasion, had also filed a petition, which was disposed of by this Court by order dated 10.05.2024 while noting the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel that the chargesheet was likely to be filed within a period of one week. The chargesheet has still not been filed.
