He states that as the dispute involves commercial transaction, the recording of evidence will take some time. At present, the claimant witnesses are under cross examination and hence the period may be extended by one year.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown and in view of no objection by the learned counsel for the respondent, the petition is allowed and the period for making and publishing the arbitral award is extended by one year with effect from 01.07.2024. 9. The petition is disposed of.
