The present petition has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner-Sh. Meenu under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of habeas corpus for production of his daughter-Ms. Y who is stated to be missing since 14^th August, 2024.

Brief background of the present case as stated in the petition is that the daughter of the Petitioner is 19 years old and is specially-abled. On 14th August, 2024 at about 7 p.m., she had gone to purchase milk from a dairy located at Baba Ram Dev Park. However, she did not return home and could not be found by her parents post 14th August, 2024.

A complaint was subsequently registered by parents of the missing girl on 15th August, 2024 with the P.S. Tigri.

issued notice in the present case and had directed for a status report to be filed. 6. In terms of the directions passed in the previous order, the status report dated 11th September, 2024 has been handed over today and the same has been taken on record. 7. As per the said status report, enquiries with regard to the missing girl have been made. The same revealed that a boy in the neighbourhood by the name Sahil Parcha @ Ajji son of Mr. Sompal, R/o H. No. B-408, JJ Camp, Tigri, Delhi is in the company of the daughter of the Petitioner.

It was further stated in the status report that the concerned police personnel thereafter searched for the girl, and finally, the girl herself called the S.H.O. Police Station, Tigri and informed that she is a major and has married one Mr. Sahil Parcha in a Court in Meerut. The girl further sent her marriage related documents to the S.H.O. P.S. Tigri.

The S.H.O. P.S. Tigri has verified the marriage registration certificate from the Marriage Registration Office, Meerut, as per which, the marriage between Ms. Y and Mr. Sahil Parcha was solemnized on 30^th June, 2024. The marriage certificate has been filed by the S.H.O.

Today, the girl and the boy have appeared before this Court. The parents of the girl have also appeared. The Court has met the parties present in the Chamber and has had an in-chamber interaction with them. 11. During the in-chamber interaction the girl has clearly stated that she would like to stay with her husband, Mr. Sahil Parcha. She is residing with him and his family members and is comfortable there. She has clarified that she does not wish to go back to her parents, for the time being.

The parents of the girl have assured that they would not level any threats towards the couple.

The girl and boy have also assured the Court that once the relationship between the couple and the girl’s parents gets better, they would visit the house of the girl’s parents.

The concerned Investigating Officer is directed to ensure safe passage for the couple from the Court premises.

In view thereof, no further orders are called for.

The present petition is disposed of with pending application(s) if any.
