There are three petitioners in the present petition.

They all seek initiation of contempt proceedings against respondent for non-compliance of the specific directions contained in order dated 23.10.2024 passed by learned Division Bench of this Court passed in W.P.(C) No. 14857/2024.

Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice. The concerned officials from the office of the respondent are also present.

Learned counsel for the respondent, on instructions, apprises that as far as the case of petitioner No. 3-Mr. Rakesh Kumar is concerned, the Standing Screening Committee has already taken a decision and the matter is under process and after obtaining requisite approval, the decision would be

communicated to petitioner No. 3 within two weeks from today.

It is also informed that as far as petitioner No. 1-Mr. Sumit Sheoran and petitioner No.2-Mr. Pankaj Kumar are concerned, the Standing Screening Committee wanted some additional documents from them and those have already been received. The Standing Screening Committee would consider those documents and would take appropriate decision and also communicate such decision to those petitioners within four weeks from today.

Such statements have been made on instructions and are taken on record.

In view of the above, learned counsel for petitioners submits that he does not press the present contempt petition. He, however, submits that if nothing is communicated, as undertaken above, he may be permitted to revive the present contempt petition.

The petition stands disposed of, accordingly. Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
