- By this petition, the petitioner had sought modification of the order dated 18th December, 2017 seeking waiving of the condition imposed upon him that he would be released on parole only after the surrender of the any other co-accused who is on parole. Case of the petitioner was that one coconvict Jitender was granted parole who did not surrender in time with the result, the petitioner cannot avail the benefit of parole. Petitioner was released on furlough six times and on parole three times which he has never misused.

- Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that the co-convict Jitender has since been arrested and thus as requested by the petitioner before the Superintendent Jail that he be released on parole for a W.P.(CRL) 662/2018 page 1 of 2

period of 4 weeks from 24th May, 2018, the said request has been accepted and the petitioner would be released on parole from 24th May, 2018.
