Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that husband of the Petitioner was working as Sub-Inspector and on 18.10.2023 he died in harness. The Counsel further submits that as on date, the Petitioner has not been provided with any pensionary benefits. For that, the Petitioner has already made representation dated 22.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) which is still pending for consideration, therefore, it is prayed that the instant petition may be disposed of directing Respondent/competent authority to consider and decide the pending representation preferred by the Petitioner expeditiously. He further submits that any outer limit may also be fixed by this Court for the aforementioned purpose.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State not opposes the limited prayer made by learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of Counsel appearing for the parties, without entering into the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of directing Respondent/competent authority to consider and decide the pending representation dated 22.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) preferred by the Petitioner expeditiously, preferably within 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with relevant rules and law.
