1 . Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not issuing the social status certificate to the petitioner in spite of his repeated approach to the respondent Authorities, the present writ petition was filed.

2 . In the present writ petition the petitioner has brought on record by way of a covering memo a document of the General Administration Department, Government of Chhattisgarh dated 18.01.2022. In the said order there is a specific direction by the State Government to the concerned Sub Divisional Officer(Revenue) in providing the Social Status Certificate(Caste Certificate) in respect of the citizens belonging to the Mahar, Mehra & Mehar Caste.

3 . Learned counsel for the parties submits that in the light of the new order of the Government of Chhattisgarh dated 18.01.2022, the writ petition can be

disposed off asking the authorities concerned to scrutinize his application and to take appropriate decision at the earliest.

4 . The limited prayer is not opposed by the State Counsel.

5 . Accordingly, the writ petition as of now stands disposed off directing the respondent no.2 to consider the application which petitioner has filed seeking for issuance of social status certificate in accordance with rules governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of four months.

6 . The writ petition accordingly stands disposed off.
