Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondent No. 3 to decide the appeal which the petitioner has preferred.

The facts of the case is that, the petitioner while working as an Assistant

Grade-III under the respondents has been inflicted with a punishment of

stoppage of two annual increments with cumulative effect vide order dated

¶26

27/10/2015. Against the said order, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to

the respondent No. 3 vide appeal dated 10/04/2017.

According to the counsel for the petitioner, the said appeal is till date pending and it has not been decided.

Given the limited prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits

of the case this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.3 to decide the appeal if it has till date not been decided at the earliest preferably within

a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondent No.3 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.

The Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed off.
