The petitioner, whose father (a Manager in Respondent No. 3) had liability fastened on him under Section 88 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, sought Article 226 directions to Respondent No. 1, the Divisional Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Nashik, to decide within one week his fourteen Revision Applications under Section 154 of the Maharashtra Cooperatives Societies Act, 1960 (challenging the order dated 15.10.2025 of Respondent No. 2, the District Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Jalgaon, fixing the upset price of the petitioner's properties) along with the associated Stay Applications. The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking directions to the Respondent No. 1 – Divisional Joint Registrar to decide Revision Applications and Stay Applications within a period of one week. The Petitioner states that the Petitioner’s father while working as a Manager in Respondent No. 3 was subjected to an inquiry and the liability under Section 88 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, was fastened upon the Petitioner’s father. Aggrieved by the order passed thereupon by Respondent No. 2 - the District Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Jalgaon, on 15.10.2025, the Petitioner has preferred separate 14 Revision Applications under Section 154 of the Maharashtra Cooperatives Societies Act, 1960 before the Respondent No. 1 - Divisional Joint Registrar of the Cooperative Societies, Nashik. As the prayer made in the Petition was only to the extent of giving directions to the Respondent No. 1 - Divisional Joint Registrar to decide the Revision Applications and Stay Applications, we had instructed the learned AGP to take instructions.

The learned AGP points out that, the Revision Applications have been filed by the present Petitioner before the Respondent No. 1 – Divisional Joint Registrar on 13.01.2026, and on the said Revision Applications, even the simple notice has not yet been issued. He points out that, within a period of seven (7) days, the Petitioner has rushed to this Court seeking directions under Article 226 of the Constitutions of India.

We have perused the copies of the Revision Applications which are annexed to the present Petition and the learned AGP is right in submitting that they have been filed only on 13.01.2026. It is also observed from the Revision Applications that the order that has been

impugned in the said Revision Applications was passed on 15.10.2025 and thereafter the present Revision Applications have been filed almost after a period of two and half months. The entire action of the present petitioner of rushing to this Court within a period of one (1) week from the date of filing of the present Revision Applications is highly condemnable and does not warrant this Court to exercise its writ jurisdiction to issue any kind of directions to the Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Nashik Division, Nashik. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

The Petitioner is subjected to pay costs of Rs. 50,000/(Rupees Fifty Thousand) for filing such a frivolous petition in the High Court. The said costs be paid in this Court within a period of four (4) week from today.
