This is an application seeking to quash chargesheet arising out of First Information Report in Crime No.253/2024 registered with Police Station Pandharkawada, District Yavatmal for the offence punishable under Sections 376, 376(2)(n) and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

A lady aged about 26 years has lodged a report that in the year 2022, the informant lady was studying in B.Ed. college. The applicant is her distant relative. It is alleged that on 22.05.2022, the applicant came to her house and said that he would marry with her and had established sexual relations. Thereafter, love relationship was developed followed by both establishing sexual relations on several occasions. Finally, the applicant refused for marriage, therefore, the report.

The learned Counsel for the applicant would submit that it is purely the case of consensual relations.

Issue notice for final disposal to the nonapplicants, returnable after four weeks.

The Trial Court shall not proceed with the matter till further orders of this Court.
