1. Heard Ms. Dolorosa Tulkar, learned Advocate for the petitioner, Mr. S. G. Bhobe, learned Public Prosecutor for respondent Nos.1 and 2 and Mr. S. Karpe, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for respondent No.3.

2. In this case, the grievance of the petitioner was that the investigations into the complaint dated 24/09/2020 concerning the death of Mr. Anil Naik were hampered on account of the noncooperation on the part of respondent No.3.

3. Now, on behalf of respondent No.3, Lt. Col. Anirban Bhowmick, Second-in-command, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Karwar, has filed an affidavit before us. In the affidavit, he has not only assured full cooperation to the State Police Authorities but has also made certain disclosures which will assist in the investigations.

4. Mr. Bhobe, learned Public Prosecutor for the State pointed out that the Defence Officers came to the police station and cooperated with the further investigation into the complaint. Mr. Karpe has also submitted that respondent No.3 will render whatever cooperation that is necessary for the investigation into the complaint.

5. Mr. Bhobe, learned Public Prosecutor states that the investigations are on and necessary action in terms of law will be taken expeditiously.

6. Accepting the aforesaid statement we dispose of this petition.
