2.Mr. Prabhudessai, learned Additional Govt. Advocate, on

the basis of instructions from Mr. Vinayak Mhalsekar, Asst.
Engineer, Div. XVI, S.D. III, Canacona – Respondent No.3, makes a
statement that the electricity connection, in question, will be
reconnected in the course of the day. He pointed out that

Respondents No.1, 2 and 3 may, however, be granted liberty to serve
a notice to the Petitioner and, thereafter, take action as may be
permissible under law.

3.The statement that the electricity connection in question,
will be reconnected in the course of the day, is accepted.
Respondents No.1 to 3 are at liberty to issue notice to the Petitioner,
follow the due process of law, and thereafter take action as may be
permissible under law.

¶17

4.We clarify that we have not gone into the merits or demerits
of rival contentions if any and, therefore, it will be open to the
concerned Authorities to take a decision in the matter, in accordance
with law.

¶18

5.In view of the aforesaid, this Petition is disposed of. There
shall be no order as to costs.
