Mayors and Deputy Mayors of Certain Municipal Corporations and Presidents of Certain Municipal Councils due to ensuing general elections to the State Legislative Assembly) Act, 2014 (for short, “the said Act of 2014”). As per the said notification, the Government of Maharashtra has appointed 5th July, 2014 to be the earlier date upto which the said Act of 2014 shall remain in force. As a result of the said notification, the said Act of 2014 is no longer in force w.e.f. 6th July, 2014.
