1 It is submitted that being aggrieved by the communication at Exh.`A' annexed to the petition, issued by the Respondent No.1Sangli Miraj Kupwad Municipal Corporation, the Petitioners herein have preferred an appeal under section 47 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (MRTP Act) on 28^th November, 2014 before the State Government alongwith the application for grant of interim relief. The learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners, therefore, submits that suitable directions be

issued for protecting the possession of the subject structure till the appeal is decided.

2 We have heard the learned AGP. However, without expressing any opinion on merits of the matter, we direct the State to dispose of the appeal of the Petitioners within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order, on its own merits.

3 For a period of 12 weeks, statusquo as on today in respect of the suit structure shall be maintained. In case of any adverse order is passed against the Petitioners, the status quo as of today shall be maintained for a further period of two weeks from the date of receipt of such an order by the Petitioners.

4 Writ petition is disposed of with the above
