We have heard learned counsel appearing for the parties for

Mr.Godbole, learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, submits that a fresh writ petition would be filed concerning

subject matter of this PIL raising challenge to the sale of immovable property of society in liquidation, Vita Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. He, therefore, seeks leave to withdraw this PIL. Learned counsel further submits that an amount of Rs.25 lakh was deposited by the petitioner with the registry of this Court. He submits that, for the present, the petitioners are not insisting for withdrawal of the said amount of Rs.25 lakh. Learned counsel prays that interim relief of status-quo granted by this Court on 13^th December 2013 may be continued for sometime so that the petitioner would take effective steps.

We grant leave to the petitioner to withdraw this PIL.

The order of status-quo granted by this Court vide order dated13th December 2013 shall continue till 31^st October 2014.

All contentions on merits are kept open. It is clarified that we have not expressed any opinion on merits of the matter.

With the aforesaid observation PIL is disposed of as withdrawn.
