Appellant was intending to join the service in Telco Company, he demanded a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- from the father of the Respondent. The Appellant also on another occasion demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- from the father of the Respondent and abused him loudly in filthy language at the house of the father of the Respondent and therefore, she lodged a police complaint. In paragraph 12 of the written statement, the Respondent has categorically stated that she never tried to commit suicide. She has stated that, on the contrary the Appellant, his parents and his brother had beat her. That only with a view to maintain the marital relations, she did not lodge any protest of the same and tried to perform her marital obligations with patience. The Respondent lastly in her written statement has stated that she did not give any trouble to the Appellant. She has stated that on the contrary, the Appellant was keen on performing a second marriage and therefore, was pressurizing the Respondent for relinquishing her right from the property. That the Respondent has further stated that the Appellant was forcing the Respondent to give in writing that in case of death of the Respondent, the Appellant and/or his family members may not be held responsible for the same. The Respondent ultimately prayed to the Trial Court that the Application / Petition of the Appellant may be dismissed.
