Though the petitioners have approached this court, inter alia, for an order to protect their structures, we find that the petitioners have preferred appeals which are pending before the State Government and which have not yet been decided or apparently even taken up for hearing.

In the circumstances of the case, we consider it appropriate to direct that Appellate Authority shall consider the petitioners' appeals and dispose off the same in accordance with law. In any case, it would be appropriate if the Appellate Authority considers the applications for interim relief as early as possible and not later than six weeks from the date the petitioners appear before it. In the meanwhile, the petitioners' structures shall be protected till Appellate Authority deals with the question of interim relief. The petitioners to appear before the Appellate Authority on 8/10/2012.
