These are applications for bail by the
applicants/appellants who have been convicted
by the learned Additional Sessions Judge,
Solapur for the offence punishable under
Section 395 of the IPC and sentenced to suffer
rigorous imprisonment for five years with fine.
Appellants, Rekha, Vinod and Sujata were on
bail throughout the trial. Appellant Chetan
Gaikwad was in jail since his arrest on
17-3-2010. Considering the nature of the
evidence against the applicants, namely that
they were identified by the victim after their
arrest in the police station first, then at the
test identification parade and then in the
Court, and also considering the nature of the
sentence imposed and the fact that the appeals
would take some time for hearing, the
applicants be released on bail on their

furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of 50,000/each with one or more solvent sureties in the sum aggregating to 50,000/- per applicant. The applications accordingly stand disposed of.
