1 This petition is filed through jail. The grievance of the
Petitioner is that although he has been granted furlough, he is unable to avail of it because of the condition that he should offer two local sureties in a sum of Rs.10,000/- each. Instead, the Petitioner prays that the amount of local surety be reduced to Rs.5,000/- each. The learned APP in all fairness submits that so long as the Petitioner is able to furnish two local sureties in the like amount of Rs.5,000/-, there should be no difficulty in acceding to the request of the Petitioner. In the circumstances, the condition in the furlough order passed by the appropriate authority shall stand modified to two local sureties in a sum of

Rs.5,000/- each. Rest of the usual terms and conditions mentioned in the furlough order shall remain as it is. Petition disposed of accordingly.
