The Petition has been filed under the provisions of Rules 858 and 861 of the High Court (Original Side) Rules read with Section 4 of the Powers of Attorney Act, 1882. On the basis of the averments contained in
the Petition, this Court has been informed that the power of attorney dated 5th May, 2009 which is annexed to the Petition has been duly executed by the Petitioner for the purposes of appointing Mr. G. Prakash Krishnan as Constituted Attorney. In the circumstances, the Misc. Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause(a). There shall accordingly be a direction that the Petitioner is permitted to deposit the power of attorney

annexed to the Petition, dated 5th May, 2009 in the registry. The power of attorney shall be kept in the file of instruments deposited under the Power of Attorney Act, 1882. The Petitioner shall be at liberty to have a certified copy thereof subject to the payment of prescribed fees under Rule 861. The Petition is accordingly disposed of.
