It is not necessary for us to go into the merits of the contentions raised by the learned counsel for the parties in the present petition. Suffice it to note that that the petitioners had applied for permission/sanction of plans to raise a hotel in accordance with law.

This application was stated to have been made in the year 2005, whereafter permissions from various authorities had been taken. The y petitioners' grievance is that the Government has not disposed of their application till date and this is causing serious loss to them.

The learned Advocate General appearing for the State submits that the Government would deal with the matter expeditiously and pass appropriate order and same will be communicated to the petitioners. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, we direct the Government to take a decision on the application filed by the petitioners within six weeks from today and communicate the order so passed to the petitioners. This order is obviously without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
