 2. Application preferred by the petitioner union

 for abolition of contract labour in various
 categories listed in the application is pending
 before the Central Contract Labour Advisory Board
 since 2001 and the issue of regularisation is
 pending before Regional Labour Commissioner
 (Central), Government of India since September
 2003.

 3. We direct the Central Contract Labour

¶14

 Advisory Board to consider petitioner’s request
 of abolition of contract expeditiously and make

 appropriate recommendation to the Central
 Government within a period of three months from
 today. The Central Government shall take
 appropriate decision on such recommendation
 within two months from the date of receipt of
 recommendation from the Board.

 4. The Regional Labour Commissioner (Central) is
 seized of the demand for regularisation. The
 Commissioner shall complete the conciliation
 process and if conciliation fails, submit the
 failure report within three months. Upon receipt
 of report of Commissioner, Central Government
 shall pass appropriate order within two months
 thereafter.

 5. Till the issues of abolition and

 regularisation are decided, respondent no.1 shall
 not engage contract labour other than contract
 labour listed at Exhibit-A to the petition, if
 they need contract labour hereinafter through any
 contractor.

 6. Petition is disposed of in terms of above
 order. Ad-interim order of status-quo stands
 vacated.
