The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of

India seeking the following relief:-

“…to issue an appropriate order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent in not registering the First Information Report on the Petitioners Report dated 23 02 2026 is illegal improper arbitrary and violation of Article 14 and 21 of Constitution of India consequently direct the 3rd Respondent to register First Information Report on Petitioners report Dated 23 02 2026 and pass….”

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

Ms. V. Padmaja, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that even though the petitioner has submitted a complaint dated 23.02.2026 disclosing the commission of a cognizable offence, the police have not registered a case.

Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the complaint of the petitioner has been registered as a case in Crime No.108 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) and 318(4) of ‘the BNSS’, and that the investigation is in progress.

Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case, and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Investigating Officer to take the investigation to its logical end, in accordance with law.
