This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

<to issue an order, direction, writ, more particularly Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents in trying interfere with possession of the petitioners land in Sy.No.62/1A3 to an extent of Ac.3-08 cents of Khabampalle Village, Baireddipalle Mandal, Chittoor District without paying the compensation and mutating the name of the Government in the Adangals to an extent of Ac.2-25 cents illegal, improper, unjust, arbitrary, principles of natural justice and violation of Article 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents to delete the name of the Government in the Adangals in the pattadar column by entering the name of the petitioners in Sy.No.62/1A3 to an extent of Ac.3-08 cents of Khabampalle Village, Baireddipalle Mandal, Chittoor District and pass….=

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondents, in attempting to interfere with the possession of the petitioners’ land in Survey No.62/1A3, admeasuring Ac.3.08 cents, situated in Khabampalle Village, Baireddipalle Mandal, Chittoor District, without paying compensation and without mutating the name of the Government in the adangals to an extent of Ac.2.25 cents, which his illegal and arbitrary. Hence the writ petition.

On the other hand, the learned Government Pleader for

Revenue, appearing for the respondents, has furnished written instructions dated 07.01.2026 issued by the Tahsildar, wherein it is stated that although the webland records reflect an extent of Ac.2.25 cents instead of Ac.2.00 cents, the discrepancy is purely clerical in nature and does not reflect the actual acquisition or the ground position. Further, necessary steps are already being initiated to correct the webland entries to reflect the true and correct extent of Ac.2.00 cents at the earliest. It is also submitted that the revenue authorities have never entered upon, interfered with, or taken possession of the patta land of the petitioners.

Considering the above and in view of the written instructions issued by the Tahsildar, this Court is of the considered view that the writ petition is can be disposed of, directing the respondent authorities to rectify the clerical mistake in the records within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
