The present writ petition is filed seeking the following relief:

Heard Mr. A.Sreedhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The contention of the petitioner is that the respondents have rejected the case of the petitioner only on the ground of operating the stay in W.P.No.9993 of 2020 with regard to seniority. But surprisingly, the respondent authorities have considered and effected the adhoc promotions including juniors to the petitioner vide G.O.Rt no.12 dated 11.01.2025. But they have only denied the case of the petitioner on the ground of pendency of disciplinary proceedings. Hence the

petitioner has requested to consider his case in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 GAD dated 10.6.1999 for adhoc promotions to the post of Executive Engineer along with his seniors. Though the respondents have rejected his case vide impugned orders dated 05.02.2025 which is with regard to regular promotions and the regular promotion when the stay is operating with regard to seniority list.

Learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the Court may pass appropriate orders.

Considering the submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 dated 10.6.1999 for effecting adhoc promotions without reference to the charges pending against the petitioner.
