This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willful, wanton and deliberate disobedience in implementation of the order passed by this Court on 28.08.2023 in W.P.No.22056 of 2023.

The petitioner has filed the aforesaid writ petition aggrieved by the action of the 5^th respondent therein in rejecting the candidature of the petitioner for the post of constable/GD. This Court, on 28.08.2023, passed the following order:

“Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed setting aside the rejection slip, dated 25.07.2023 issued by the 5th respondent and the respondents 2 and 5 are directed to consider the candidature of the petitioner treating his District Domicile as „Vizianagaram‟ for all practical purposes, and permit him to undergo the process of selection/appointment, if any, left pursuant to the notification under Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces(CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2022, in case the petitioner is otherwise eligible. No order as to costs.”

The respondents/contemnors have filed a counter affidavit duly stating that subsequent to filing of the present contempt case, the 1^st respondent vide letter bearing No.HQ-PP106/3/2024-PP-I (E-8303), dated 13.03.2026 permitted the CRPF to go ahead with further necessary recruitment process. Pursuant to the same, the Director General, CRPF, vide signal No.A.VI138/2022-Rectt (SSB)-CT/GD-2022, dated 17.03.2026 directed the group

centre, CRPF, Rangareddy to undertake the necessary recruitment formalities and accordingly, a board of officers was constituted at Group Centre, CRPF, Rangareddy vide office order dated 25.03.2026 and the petitioner was directed to appear before the competent recruitment board vide letter dated 23.03.2026.

Accordingly, the petitioner has appeared before the board and document verification and detailed medical examination were conducted between 26.03.2026 and 06.04.2026 wherein, the petitioner was declared medically fit. Thereafter, all the documents were forwarded to DIG (Recruitment), Directorate General, CRPF vide letter dated 07.04.2026, upon receipt of which, the same were forwarded to 1^st respondent herein vide letter dated 30.04.2026 requesting revision of the petitioner‟s result and accordingly, the 1^st respondent, vide letter dated 10.06.2026 revised the petitioner‟s result and allotted him to Border Security Force (BSF) under Force Code „A‟. The petitioner was issued appointment on 03.07.2026.

It can be seen that pursuant to the orders passed by this Court on 28.08.2023, the respondents have reconsidered the case of the petitioner and he was issued the offer of appointment on 03.07.2026. Thus, no contempt lies against the respondents/contemnors.
