This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:

“.... to issue an appropriate Writ or order or direction, preferably one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents, especially the action of the 4^th respondent in calling the petitioner to the police station in the name of investigation without following the procedure contemplated under CRPC and other applicable laws is illegal, discriminatory, arbitrary, malafide, in violation of the right of the petitioner and the rights guaranteed under the Article 14, 21 of the constitution of India and pass such other order or further orders as may be deemed fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and in the interests of justice.”

2. Heard Sri P. Ranga Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md. Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

3. Sri Md. Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that based on a complaint of one Sri Thota Venkata Reddy s/o Venkatarao, the police have registered a case against the petitioner herein in Crime No.8 of 2021 of Narsapuram Town Police Station, West Godavari District, for the offence punishable under Sections 420 & 506 IPC.

4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
