No. 34958 of 2022, decided 10.11.2025 — B.A. Krishna Prakash, aged about 70, filed a Writ Petition under Article 226 seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring that Respondent No. 3 (Sub Inspector, II Town P.S., Hindupur) acted illegally, arbitrarily, without jurisdiction and in violation of Article 14 by calling him to the Police Station frequently without any crime registered against him and by interfering with his civil liberties and the civil disputes inter se him and Respondent No. 4 (B A Chandra Mohan); IA No. 1 of 2022 under Section 151 CPC sought interim directions. ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with

the following prayer for:

“…to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ or Writs, Order or Direction, declaring the action of Respondent No.3 in calling the petitioner to Police Station frequently without there being any crime registered against him and in interfering with the civil liberties of petitioner and civil disputes interse the petitioner and the 4th Respondent, as illegal, arbitrary, without jurisdiction and violative of Art 14 of Constitution of India and to consequently direct the Respondent No. 3 not to interfere with the civil liberties of petitioner and not to interfere with the civil disputes between the petitioner and the 4th Respondent and also not to call the petitioner to Police Station without there being any crime registered against him Award costs and pass.…”

When the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri N.Ranga Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in view of the Interim Order dated 31.10.2022 passed by this Court, no further Orders are required in this matter.

For ready reference, the relevant portion of the Interim Order is extracted hereunder:

“In the meanwhile, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitoiner.”
