Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Municipal Corporation.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 4^th respondent entrusted the work to the petitioner i.e., providing GI sheet roof shed and vitrified tiles flooring in top floor of Ambedkar Bhavan, under agreement NO.EE-249/2018-19, dt.13.11.2018.

The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work to the satisfaction of the 4^th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the work, the progress of the work was recorded in M book. Later, the petitioner submitted final bill. The authorities of the 4^th respondent, after the quality check and after fulfilling statutory requirements, approved the final bill, however the part of the bill an amount of Rs.8,96,157/-

was withheld in the year 2022, so far the said amount has not been released.

The learned standing counsel for the 2^nd respondent, on oral instructions, submits that the works undertaken by the petitioner was completed to the satisfaction of the authorities of the 2^nd respondent. However, on account of lack of funds, the balance payment could not be made to the petitioner till now and that payment would be made shortly.

Considering the submissions that the work completed by the petitioner is not in dispute, there shall be a direction to respondents 4 and 8 to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner within a period of six weeks.
