Four residents of Chittigaru, Rollapalem village, Amalapuram Mandal sought a writ of mandamus under Article 226 declaring illegal the repeated insistence by respondents 3 and 6 (Superintendent of Police, East Godavari; Station House Officer, Amalapuram Town) that they appear in connection with Crime No.133 of 2019 despite non-registration of their report dated 07.06.2019, alleging violation of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution, and praying for directions to register the FIR without arresting them and not to interfere with their life, liberty and properties. None appeared for the petitioners. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:

“….to to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring action of respondents 3 and 6 in repeatedly insisting the petitioners to appear before their authority in connection with Crime No 133 of 2019 without registering the report of petitioners dt 07 06 2019 as illegal irregular without any authority of law and violative of Provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 and offends Articles 14 and 21 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere in any manner with the petitioners life liberty and properties and further direct the respondents 5 and 6 to register FIR on the petitioners report dt 07 06 2019 without arresting them and passand pass…”
