The Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the

Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is filed on behalf of the petitioners/accused Nos.1 & 2 seeking regular bail in Crime No.21

of 2025 of Krishnadevipeta Pol'lce Station, ASR D'lstrict.

A case has been registered againstthe petitioners herein and other accused for the offences punishable under sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,1985.

Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on o8.03,2025 at

13.13pm, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of Ganja on a Scooty bearing No.AP39HR4723. Immediately, S.I. of Police, along with staff, reached outskirts of A L Puram Village, Golugonda Mandal. On seeing police, the petitioners stopped the scooty and tried to escape. Then, police apprehended them and on enquiry they disclosed their identity particulars as that of A1 & A2 and police found 22 kgs of Ganja in their possession. The contraband was seized and the accused were arrested and got remanded to judicial custody on 08.03.2025.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the

accused and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for the State.

Perused the record.

A perusal of the material on record goes to show that the

Petitioners Were arrested on 08.03.2025. Since then, they are in judicial custody. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the

Petitioners submit that maJ'Or Part Of investigation iS completed except, filing of charge-sheet.

ln view of the aforesaid reasons, this Court is inclined to grant

¶47

bail to the petitioners/accused Nos.1 & 2 herein, on the following conditions.

¶48

(i) The petitI'OnerS/accused Nos.1 & 2 herein shall be released on their executing a personal bond for Rs.10,OOO/ (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for a like slim each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge- cwm - Special Judge for trial of offences under NDPS Act, Visakhapatnam;

(ii) On release, the petitioners/accused Nos.1 & 2 shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00
