The above writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“…to issue a Writ, Order or Orders or Directions more particularly one in nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not continuing the petitioner as contract faculty (Chemistry) in the Government Degree College, Rayadurg, Ananthapuram District upto 62 years as being contrary to Go.Ms.No.15 dt 31.01.2022, Go.Rt.No.114 dt 26.04.2024 as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional, violative of Article 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to continue the

petitioner upto 62 years contract faculty Chemistry in the Government Degree College, Rayadurg, Ananthapuram District with all consequential benefits and pass such other or further orders …”
“4) Today the learned Government Pleader has placed before this Court a copy of the G.O. Rt. No. 19, dated 29.01.2024, whereby in paragraph No. 3, the Special Secretary to Government (I/C) has taken note of the interim order and accordingly issued G.O. permitting the concerned authorities to reengage the services of the academicians who

have completed the age of “58 years” provided they are found to be physically and mentally fit to continue the duties expected of the post they were holding.
The Registry is directed to attach a copy of the order in W.A.No.770 of 2022, dated 13.02.2024 to this order.
