No.4 visited the subject properties of the petitioners and orally stated that the petitioners should vacate from their respective properties within a week, failing which they woulddemolish the same with police force. Respondent No.4 addressed a letter to respondent Nos. 7 & 8, requesting to arrange sufficient police protection for conducting eviction process. Respondent No.4 issued the impugned proceedings, dated 09.03.2023, without giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. As such, the present writ petitions are filed. 5. To the said writ petitions, respondent No.4 filed its counter. denying the allegations, interalia, contending that the Grama Panchayat issued a notice, the petitioners having appeared personally before respondent No.4 failed to submit their explanation. It is further contended that, the petitionersdonot have right to occupy the Government land.
